sunday poetry
a white linen lit room where
haiku feels like math.

wait!

moments are fleeting
the time passing (too) quickly
sweeping me away

(in love)

I miss embracing.
holding you, holding your hand,
loving and being.

cuddling

please hug me, hold me;
while stroking my hair, tell me
it will all be fine.

waking

woke up realizing
i had no reason to be
awake or sleeping

mo(u)rning

i wake up each day
(after having dreamt of you)
to find you're not there.

hidden

shrouded in darkness
there is beauty in the world
you just need to look

if

if you changed your mind
it wouldn't be too late yet.
it will never be

fleeting

you said 'butterflies
every time that i see you.'
but they flew away

dark

the light of my life
because you brought only joy
now there is darkness

1.24.2010

gone

i was a hiccup
in your life whereas you were
every breath of mine

love is

love is: what stops you
from jumping and what brought you
there in the first place

looking for

a hug that is real
a genuine friendship and
a love that is true

no parking

the city is loud,
where silence is unheard of.
don't stop or stand here.

missing

i am weak without
you, my source of energy,
my pillar of strength

saying goodbye

i shed parting tears
bitter as separation,
my beautiful friend

for here or to go

waiting downtown in
a corner coffee shop I
write out my heart

meditating on the city

people watching as
lives flow through crosswalks or stop
at red traffic lights

downpour

fogs cloud my vision
rain beats against the window
i look at nothing
